Support for the latest platforms
Zetafax 2007 supports the latest platforms from Microsoft, including 2007 Office System, Exchange Server 2007 and Windows Vista.
2007 Office System - Improves employee efficiency by making the sending of faxes faster and more intuitive.
- Sending, receiving and managing faxes is now easier and faster within Outlook. Faxes can be created in Offline mode and fax contacts can be picked up far more easily from Outlook address book
- Uses the new Office ribbon structure to enable quick fax creation from within Word and Excel

Advanced Administrator features
Zetafax 2007 includes advanced features designed to assist Network Administrators.
A simplified Zetafax Client installation deploys the Client as well as Office extensions and add-ins in one step, so if you are considering adding new users or integrating Zetafax with email the deployment of Clients and email extensions will be far simpler.
Automatic user creation simplifies further the process of adding new users to Zetafax by enabling them to be automatically enrolled without the need for Administrator interventions. This saves Administrator time and allows new users to send faxes almost immediately after install.
The Zetafax Server Monitor program features an improved user interface for easy access to commonly used features and message logs. Devices can be taken off line more easily and the entire server log can be viewed for analysis.
Automatic system failover
The Zetafax System failover solution provides protection against server failure by automatically switching to a backup machine if a fault develops. This ensures no downtime and users can continue to send and receive faxes as normal, essential if faxing is a critical part of your business.
Extended hardware compatibility
The latest Zetafax release includes support for the latest Brooktrout hardware from Cantata. This adds support for new Brooktrout analog DID boards and Trufax half-size boards.
Improved rendering of PDF documents
There is now an option to improve PDF rendering with an enhanced Zetafax Document Rendering add-on. The new version of this dedicated rendering engine runs on the Zetafax Server and improves rendering quality of PDFs by supporting the following:
- PDF specification: 1.2,1.3,1.4 &1.5
- All graphic objects: Path, Text, Image, Form and Shading
- All font types: Type 0, Type 1, Type 3 and Truetype
